Intex has launched another new smartphone in Aqua series. Dubbed as the Aqua Joy, the smartphone comes with entry-level specifications with a price tag of Rs. 2,799 in black and white colour variants. The device has been listed on the company website.
The Intex Aqua Joy sports a 4-inch screen with 480×800 resolution, 233 pixels-per-inch of pixel density and 16.7 million colours.
The device is powered by a Quad-core ARM v7 Cortex processor clocked at 1.2 GHz with Spreadtrum chipset, coupled with 512MB DDR2 RAM. It has an ARM Mali400 MP2 GPU and 4GB of internal storage which can be further expandable via a microSD up to 32GB.
It also has the front and rear camera of 0.3 MP where the back camera takes photos in 800×480 resolution and the front takes in 640×480 resolution and can record videos at 25 frames per second.
Running on Android Lollipop 5.1, the Aqua Joy offers several connectivity options such as 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It also features g-sensor.
The Intex Aqua Joy comes preloaded with apps such as Newshunt, Matrabhasha, Opera Mini, 360 security, and Hike.The device measures 125x 63.9x 10.1mm, weighs 110 grams and does not support Multi-touch gestures since its touchscreen sensor can recognise only one finger touch.
The handset is backed by a 1450 mAh lithium-ion battery which promises to gives a talk time of 4 to 5 hours, and standby time between 140 to 160 hours.
