Salman Khan is well known for the way in which he works. The entire Bollywood film industry is celebrating Ganesh festival in a grand style. Several film stars brought home the Ganesha statue with a lot of excitement and enthusiasm.
The entire Khan family assembled in his residence in Galaxy Apartments. The family welcomed Bappa day before yesterday and performed the visarjan on Tuesday evening. According to the tradition, Khan kept the Ganesha idol for 1 to 11 days before immersing it on the sea.
When other Bollywood stars immersed the statue in the sea, Khan did the visarjan in a unique way. The Salman’s family designed a temporary pond in the garden of their residence in Galaxy Apartments.
The Ganesh visarjan was performed by the Sultan actor’s baby sister Arpita.
Interestingly, the Ganpati idol at Khan residence was created in an organic and eco-friendly manner without using any chemical of any kind. The entire Khan family along with his film friends were present in large numbers for the rituals. The family performed the aarti initiated by Salman’s father Salim Khan.
The immersion was followed by every member of the family doing the aarti of Ganesh individually including Sohail Khan, Alvira, Atul Agnihotri etc
The pooja was also attended by Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Amy Jackson, who happens to be the lead pair of Sohail Khan’s upcoming directorial ‘Freaky Ali’.
We also spotted Daisy Shah and his rakhi sister Shweta Rohira at the pooja function.
Meanwhile, Arpita’s five month old son Ahil was also spotted since this is his first Ganesh Chaturthi.
When the whole Khan family was busy with the functions, Salman was absent due to his busy schedule. He is currently on the sets of his forthcoming movie Tubelight shooting in Manali.
Directed by Kabir Khan, Tubelight also features Chinese actress Zhu Zhu in the lead and is expected to release on Eid next year.
