To attract more customers, smartphone manufacturers are concentrating on the display panel. Their vision is to create a phone with a bezel-less front. They are trying to increase the display size while keeping the dimensions same. Samsung and LG have clearly shown a positive change in the display. LG G6, Galaxy S8, and S8+ have ultra-thin bezels with a better display. Sony is also going to join the party now. Leaked renders reveal that Sony is also trying to launch a bezel-less smartphone. The upcoming Sony Xperia X Ultra may have this type of display.

We have no details about the specification of the device. But one thing that is clear from leaks is the display size of the device. It may have a 6.45-inch display, something very close to Galaxy S8+. The company will try to increase the display size without changing the overall dimension of the device. It will be a little bigger than Galaxy S8+ with almost equal dimensions.

The leaked images show that it is going to have a large display without being large itself. We can see that the bezels are extremely minimized except the top which is slightly thicker. It is almost impossible to judge the display from these leaked images.

Earlier, there were also leaks about this smartphone being launched in two colors, red and gray. But you can always expect more colors. Sony always releases a model in multiple colors. Inside the slim bezel-less body, there may be a Snapdragon 660 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. It may have an internal storage of 64GB with no mentioning of the possibility to expanding it through a memory card. The chances are there that it may have a card slot. There are also rumors that it has a battery of 3050mAh with the support of quick charge 3.0.

Sony boasts a worldwide reputation for its cameras. This Xperia X Ultra may also have whooping cameras at both front and back side. There is a very good chance that Sony is going to boost a 13MP selfie sniper and 19MP camera at the back. It will also have an IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.

There are, however, no rumors about the pricing and availability of this smartphone. The specs suggest that it would be a high-end smartphone with a matching price. It may be released in the third quarter of the year.
