India is a big market for economy class smartphones, and there is a whole list of such phones to choose. However, there are no dearths of imposters who try to pass off Smartphone with much lower specs than their claims.
The Freedom 251 is one such smartphone which can make anyone stand up and notice it in a sea of multitudes. For one, it is the specs which are being offered at dirt cheap prize-Rs.251. Not to be left behind another Indian company has unveiled its version, The ChampOne C1, which is being offered for a prize of Rs.501 instead of the original prize which the company claims is Rs. 8000. Such offers often stink of some scam than a concerted effort by companies to break even and grab market share. We are comparing the features of 251 with C1.
External Features and Screen
The 251 boasts a 4 inch LCD Touchscreen and is claimed to have a resolution of 960 x 540 which is false. The actual resolution is 800x 480. The viewing angle is atrocious, and colors look as if dabbed with a paint brush.
The C1 on the other hand touts a 5 inch HD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It will offer a decent viewing. Check the ChampOne specifications and features on the official website.
Processor and OS Platform
The Freedom is powered by a 32-bit MediaTek MT6580M clocked at 1.3GHz complemented by a Mali-400MP2 GPU. It looks decent, but again the company is playing fraud by claiming that it has a 1GB RAM whereas tests have proved it has only 512 MB RAM. check all features and details at http://ringingbells.co.in/.
The ChampOne has a MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 2GB RAM. Both the devices, however, are based on the old 5.1 Lollipop OS platform.
Camera
The Freedom 251 claims that it has a 3.2 Mega Pixel Primary camera which again was found to be false, and it featured a 2 MP fixed focus camera. There is a VGA camera on the front.
Its rival outruns in it every department, and when it comes to the camera, it is miles ahead. The C1 boasts a 8 MP primary and a 5 MP secondary camera.
Onboard Storage and Connectivity Options
The Freedom 251 boasts 8GB built-in storage of which only 4 GB is accessible. It can, however, be augmented with a microSD. Connectivity options include dual-SIM ability, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and microUSB.
C1 has 16 GB onboard storage, but it is unclear if there are any provisions for an expandable microSD slot. It is a dual SIM device with 4G LTE support, and we can assume the usual aspects when it comes to other connectivity options.
Battery
The C1 is powered by a 2500mAh battery while the Freedom 251 has a measly 1,450mAh battery.
Wrapping up
The ChampOne C1 is a clear winner in every department and delivers what it promises while the 251 does not equal even what it has promised.
