The Kabaddi World Cup 2016 tournament has reached the semi- finals stage and the first semifinal will be played on Friday, October 21, 2016, between India and Thailand at 9:00 p.m. IST.
The world Cup 2016 started on October, 7 with fourteen participating teams and after league matches are over Thailand, South Korea, India and Iran have qualified for the last four.
Thailand qualified for the semifinal after beating Japan by 37-33 score in a tight match. Thailand stands at no 1 position in Group B with Iran at no 2 position in the same group.

Thailand who was playing with black armbands yesterday to mourn the death of their Kind Bhumibol Adulyadej who passed away last week defeated Japan by 37-33 in hard hitting game. Now Thailand tops the group B with Iran at no. two in the B group.
South Korea defeated India in the first match of the tournament and since then they remain on top position in the group A leaving the world champions India at No. 2.
The hosts India will fight to maintain the dominance and retain the title while the remaining three teams will try to alter the win situation towards them.
