Scientists believe that our universe is also going aged and will die one day. Now a turning statement has been added that our universe has started ageing and will soon die. This soon doesn’t mean the day after today or the year after current rather this will happen around after 10 billion years.
Now many of you will be thinking how this can be so? How can anyone say that the universe is ageing and will die one day? How people can measure the age of the universe in which they are million times smaller. Then the answer lies in the reports (from Express UK) which proclaimed that energy levels of the universe keep on depleting.
Ageing of the universe clearly depicts the ageing of Earth. Astronomers who are studying 200,000 galaxies have found that energy level of the universe is falling and is found not even half as it was two billion years ago. This clearly shows that energy level is depleting and will cause ageing of Earth.
Now a question arises why this is happening? So till now no satisfactory answer has been recorded.
Researchers from the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) in Western Australia used seven best telescopes of this world to examine galaxies at 21 different wavelengths ranging from ultraviolet to infrared.
After examination, they said first observation was with Anglo-Australian Telescope in New South Wales and the supporting observation were made by two orbiting telescopes operated NASA and another one belonging to the European Space Agency.
The ageing of the universe is not the new one which came in front as it was known since the late 1990s that the universe is depleting in energy. Manu scientists are working on this ageing of the universe.
The research and report were carried out as part of the Galaxy and Mass Assembly (GAMA) project, the largest multi-wavelength survey ever put together.
