The controversial issue of banning Pakistani artists and technicians in Indian film industry seems to heat up each new day. After the cowardly act of Pakistan-supported terrorist attack on Indian soldiers at Uri, the whole nation was angry, and MNS targeted Pakistani artists and technicians in India and threatened them either condemn the attack or leave the country in shortest time. The MNS chief Raj Thackeray even said that the party would not let movies with Pakistani actors, to be released in India.
This warning by MNS has put the release of two mega-budget movies “Raees” where Pakistani actress Mahira Khan is opposite Shahrukh Khan and “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” starring Fawad Khan another actor from Pakistan in trouble.
IMPA passed a unanimous resolution to keep the work suspended with Pakistanis till the situation between the two countries improves, and Govt. of India declares all well situations. Salman Khan, however, backed the Pakistani artists and technicians and said that they were not terrorists and so targeting them was not required.

The actor further added that as they get a work permit and visas from the government of India, they have a right to work here and banning them is uncalled for. He also said that art and terrorism are separate and should not be mixed.

He also said that Salman might go and shoot his films there only. He also threatened that the Indian actors should either realize nation first or else face a ban on their movies.

Ban on Pakistan actors was first supported by ‘Zee Zindagi’ channel that used to telecast the Pakistani shows exclusively but after Uri attack stopped telecasting Pakistani shows.
