Xiaomi has officially unveiled a new smartphone in its Redmi Note line-up. The brand new Redmi Note 4 comes with high-end specifications and a premium design language. The device is powered by the latest 10-core processor and sports a 2.5D curved display. As of now, Xiaomi will sell the Redmi Note 4 only in China and there is no information about global availability.

The Redmi Note 3 successor sports a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p display. This is a new generation 2.5D curved IPS LCD screen. The latest smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box with MIUI 8 layered above it.

The Redmi Note 4 is powered by the powerful MediaTek Helio X20 MT6797 SoC. The deca-core processor features two powerful ARM Cortex A72 cores running at 2.1 GHz each and two quad-core clusters of Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and 1.4 GHz respectively. The graphics are rendered by the quad-core ARM Mali T880 GPU.

The latest smartphone comes in two variants, one with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory and another with 3 GB RAM and 64 GB inbuilt storage. The handset also supports microSD cards via the second SIM card slot.

Specifications:

The primary camera of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is a 13 MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. It boasts Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and dual tone double LED flashes. The smartphone can’t shoot 4K videos. However, it does support 720p slow motion video recording at 120 fps. There is a 5 MP front camera in the latest handset.

The 4G LTE capable dual SIM phone comes with the usual connectivity options. The infra-red emitter of the previous Redmi Note 3 is also present here. The Redmi Note 4 comes with the conventional microUSB 2.0 port instead of the latest Type-C port. The smartphone is juiced up by a large 4100mAh battery.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will soon go on sale at China in gold, silver, and gray color variants. The 2 GB / 16 GB is priced at 899 RMB or about Rs. 9000 while the 3 GB / 64 GB model comes with a price tag of 1199 RMB or Rs. 12000 approximately.
