India is one of those countries where Apple has its manufacturing plants. The iPhone manufacturer announced the release of some new and upgraded models of iPads and MacBook Pros. Now, the company has confirmed the release of these new models in India. Earlier, the company had showcased all these devices at Worldwide Developer’s Conference in San Jose. The sale will start from July 10. There is good news for the customers that a price cut has been seen for all the Apple’s products across the country. This is due to Goods and Services Tax (GST) in the country. Also, the price cut may be due to local manufacturing of Apple’s products in the country.
Apple’s MacBook Air has now an upgraded Broadwell chip clocked at 1.8GHz. The older version had 1.6GHz Core i5 Broadwell chip. The company has fixed the price of new MacBook Air as Rs.77,200 for 128GB variant and Rs.92,500 for 256GB variant.
Similarly, the company has also upgraded all the MacBook Pros released in 2016. Now, the company has used Intel’s 7th generation Kaby Lake processors in the new models. These MacBooks have two variants. One is with TouchBar and the other is without TouchBar. The price of 13 inch MacBook without TouchBar will be Rs.1,04,900 for 128GB variant and Rs. 1, 54,900 for 256GB variant. The 13 inch MacBook with TouchBar and 512GB will cost Rs. 1,71, 900. The 15 inch MacBook Pro will sell at the price of Rs. 2,05,900.
For the 12 inch MacBook, the company has fixed the price of 256GB variant at Rs.1,04,800. The customers will enjoy using 512GB variant at Rs. 1, 28, 700. These 12 inch MacBooks have backlit Retina display and also new Force Touch keypad. There is also an option of Core m3 or Core i5 processor with support for Turbo Boost of up top 3.2GHz.
Now comes the 10.5-inch models of iPad Pro. There are also different price tags for 64GB, 128GB, and 512GB variants. These are priced at Rs.50,800, Rs.58,300, and Rs.73,900 respectively. These prices are only for WIFI models of the iPad Pro. The model with WIFI and Cellular connections will sell at Rs.61,400, Rs.68,900, and Rs.84,500 respectively.
The 21.5 inch iMac (2.3GHz) with the non-Retina display will sell at Rs.90,200. The model with a 3.0GHz processor and Retina display will sell at Rs.1,06,400 and the model with the 3.4GHz processor will sell at Rs.1,23,700. The three variants of iMac with the 27-inch display will sell at Rs.1,47,400, Rs.1,66,000, and Rs.1,90,400.
