The flagship models of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ have been launched in India. The starting prices of the models are 57,900 INR and 64,900 INR. The best thing is that the phones can be pre-booked from 19th April onwards. The models will be available from 5th May. You will be delighted with the exciting features that will come along with these smartphone models. The users can expect Infinity Display, amazing battery life, excellent camera from these models.

These two smartphones are the first-ever flagships since the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Now it is the time for the public to analyze the models after the debacle. As per the claims of the company, the smartphone models can be used for authenticating the transactions with the help of the iris scanner of the phones. This can be authenticated with Samsung Pay even in India.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus Rates in India

As per reports, the price of the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be 62,600 INR. The bigger version of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus will be priced at 69,000 INR. The release date of both the models in India is 5th May.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Indian Variant

The Samsung Galaxy S8 variant in India will be powered by the Samsung Exynos 8895 SoC. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC variants will be available only in selected regions of the United States. This should not discourage the Indian buyers as both the variants have similar characteristics.

Both Samsung S8 as well as S8+ are similar in appearance. However, there are some differences in the dimension, screen size and the battery capacity of these smartphones. The company refers the screen as Infinity Display. This will feature curved dual-edge display, 18.5:9 aspect ratio and minimal bezels present on the bottom and on the top. The displays have also been UHD Alliance certified to ensure reliability.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with a QHD+ Super AMOLED 5.8-inch display with 1440 X 2960 resolution. Samsung Galaxy S8+ features a QHD+ 6.2-inch display with 1440 X 2960 pixels. It also comes with Super AMOLED screen. Both the smartphones bear the Corning Gorilla Glass 5  protection. The smartphones come with 4 GB of RAM. There is 64 GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded up to 256 GB with the help of the microSD card.

When it comes to the camera, both the models feature “Dual Pixel” 12-megapixel rear cameras. Each camera comes with an optical image stabilization and a f/1.7 camera aperture. There is an 8-megapixel camera on the front with a f/1.7 aperture.

Both the Samsung S8 as well as S8+ support wireless charging. They also come with fastcharging capabilities. The connectivity options are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth of v5.0, GPS, NFC and USB of Type-C. There are additional sensors like gyroscope, barometer, accelerometer, heart sensor, proximity sensor, light sensor and several others. The phones also feature Samsung Pay.
