The first song of the Half Girlfriend movie, Baarish is out. Way before its schedule due to an increase in the demand by the audience. Rains have always been a synonym for romance. This song captures every bit of the essence of first love. The song has the lead actors, Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor romancing in the rain in St. Stephen’s College in Delhi University. The song shows the young love that Arjun has for Shraddha in the movie.

Tanishk Bagchi composed the song, and Ash King nailed it by singing it. He previously sang “Te Amo” (Dum Maaro Dum) and “I Love You” (Bodyguard). The melody has Shraddha (Riya) dancing while Arjun (Madhav) is mesmerized by her. Shraddha and rains are almost inseparable. The song shows the two sides of the story. One about Madhav’s life and the other one about Riya’s. And both of them coming together playing a basketball match.

Well from the trailer we saw that, even though both their lives were completely different. Madhav Jha, a Bihari student, who comes to Delhi for his higher studies. What binds them together was the game of basketball. The song ends with Riya and Madhav playing together where he captures her attention with his moves. The trailer got mixed reactions from the audience. Many loved the electrifying romance between the couple. The later part focuses in New York. Arjun did a fantastic job in depicting the Bihari accent in the trailer. The audience is waiting for the next song now.

‘Half Girlfriend’, is directed by Mohit Suri, is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s famous novel of the same name has caused a sensational response among the viewers. The movie is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The film is supposed to release on May 19.
