The smartphone manufacturer, Coolpad and a security major Qihoo 360 have mutually launched a company, Qiku (pronounced as ‘chikoo’). With the launch of new brand, both of the firm has unveiled a new smartphone, Qiko Q Terra in the Indian smartphone market, which will be available for sale via Gadget 360.

It has been further announced that for the customers having an invite, the handset will be available at a price of Rs. 19,999, while, Qiku also offers an option to purchase the device without invites at Rs. 21,999.

The QiKu Global Vice President, Alex Qian believes that India as an emerging market will profit the firm in a long run. The company is targeting to ship one million units in a period of one year. He expects that India will top the smartphone markets within 18 months. For after sales service, the firm has inaugurated 200 service centers in major cities around the country.

The Qiku Q Terra is fronted with a 6-inch Full HD 1080p Sharp IPS display which delivers pixel density of 386 ppi. On photography front, it boasts dual 13-megapixel rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, and features like ‘Fast Focus’ (as low as 0.1 seconds), geo-tagging, and support for 4K video recording. The comapny explained that the 13-megapixel Sony IMX278 sensor shoots pictures in a traditional way, while, it get enhanced by a monochorome (B&W) image captured by another 13-megapixel camera. It also features an 8-megapixel of front facing camera with f/2.4 aperture.

It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS supported by a 2GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8992 808 SoC, which is embedded with Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB of RAM. In addition, a 3700 mAh of battery fueles the device, which supports quick charging.

The smartphone supports dual-SIM card (Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM) and various standard connectivity measures such as 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi.
