Hopefully, you all are aware when YouTube had changed its rating system from five-star to like/dislike system. As per the fresh reports, Netflix wants to get rid of its old system and is all set to adopt a new change.

Briefing a press, the Netflix vice-president of product, said that “Five star feels very yesterday now”. Seems, it is all set to go with thumbs up system. He said that the company has to incur billions of dollar cost on creating and licensing titles. These big records further add many challenges. The old system was creating big trouble as it could limit the consumer’s capability to search the content online.

As per company officials, they are testing this new system for quite a long time. They have told that the new and simpler system has seen over 200 percent more ratings than its previous rating system. This idea surely has a better chance to give more data and better endorsement. Further, this will increase the chance to watch more videos online on its site.

Reportedly you may see the new change in the month of April. However, the company has not revealed the exact release date of the new system. The company is more interested in getting ratings and reviews from more people.  This is going to help the company to review what their viewers want to watch online.

Besides this, the company will also start to show the percentage match below movie/show. This number will help to decide how likely it will be that the viewer will enjoy the video. The company will use a set of rules to match viewer’s content and to decide the percentage.

These features are very interesting. I’m sure you guys are eagerly waiting for such easier and helpful system. Stay tuned here for more news on this.
