William Boulter, the Chief Commercial officer at Indigo, announcing a new international destination said that today we are happy to declare our two new non-stop flights from Abu Dhabi to Kochi and Kozhikode. It’s very exciting to have these two new destinations being served from Abu Dhabi.

He added by saying that our main motto is to start with one or two flights and then quickly increase the number, so in the coming time, we can see Abu Dhabi being linked with other cities in India. At present we are increasing the traffic rights which are presented under the India and UAE mutual contract, and we are looking forward to extending this mutual contract in future because of the increasing demand between India and the UAE. He further said that the flights would be operated by the Airbus 320 Aircraft which has a single aisle and the aircraft can carry the load of 180 to 186 passengers.

Boulter revealed that as per the market research, a lot of passengers were going to Dubai for flights and because of the demand we have commenced the operation between Abu Dhabi and Kerala.

Abu Dhabi is turning out to be a great destination for developing tourism and basically, they have a great culture. The Airline main idea is to increase tourism from India by introducing new destinations. We are also trying to encourage travelers and want to contribute to Abu Dhabi’s tourism sector, Said Boulter. India is one of the wealthy countries and is now encouraging a lot of outbound tourism and we are expecting that there will be for sure a tourist demand in future, he added.
