Search Engine giant Google has hired an Indian student at a monthly salary of Rs. 12 lakh. Harshit Sharma is a student of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh. He has passed his 12 class in IT with distinction. He will receive a stipend of about 4 lakh per month for the first year. Team Google will teach and train him for the first year. After the expiry of the aforesaid period, Google will hire him permanently at a salary of Rs. 12 lakh per month.

Speaking about his selection, Harshit says that he could not expect such a great chance. He says that since his school life he took an interest in graphics. Even at the age of ten, he was a great painter and graphic designer. He also tells that in school days he used to earn Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 by making the posters of Hollywood and Bollywood actors. He was talking with Chandigarh Newsline. He also told the people that he had applied to Google through a link last year. Google had also selected him because of his beautifully designed posters. He had submitted these as a sample.

Now, the Google has sent him an appointment letter. He will leave for California, USA on 7th August. Earlier, PMO also awarded Harshit Rs. 7000 reward for his outstanding performance in graphic designing. He also shared with the media team that he wanted to be a graphic designer since his early school days. His parent knew well and also supported him.

The Principal of the school says that they all are proud of Harshit. He has enlightened the name of the school and his parents. The principal also told that he always remained busy in doing innovative things. His selection will provoke the other Indian students to work hard and achieve an honorable place in society.
