The most anticipated reunion of the legendary show Friends is set to stream on HBO on 27th May, and it has been as emotional for the cast as the viewers.
A few days prior to the release of the special Reunion, the cast of Friends i.e. Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston and Matt LeBlanc joined “Good Morning America”. In the interview on Tuesday, hosted by Amy Robach, the cast shared their feelings and emotions they felt when they re-grouped for the reunion after so many years since 2004.
Monica Geller aka Courntey Cox said, “I don’t think that any of us had any idea how emotional we would be when we walked onto the set to see it exactly the way it was. Literally besides the cookie jar that Lisa took home and the neon coffee thing that Jen took. Besides that, it was exactly the same. It was so emotional that we just started crying,”
Matthew Perry, known as Chandler Bing, added to Cox’s words saying, “Reuniting this cast again… I knew it was going to be a really emotional experience and it has been,”
Meanwhile, Kudrow shared, “Truth is, I didn’t cry walking out onto the set… And now I can’t stop”, when Aniston added, “Floodgates open”.
Other than the emotional bit, the cast also told the fans what to expect from the reunion. David Schwimmer, who played Ross Geller told that the audience will get “some really fun, entertaining surprises.” He also said, “We’re equally excited to be finally doing it and hopefully, to give something back and you know, put a little laughter and a little love out there to everyone.”
Additionally, they all delighted the fans by sharing their favorite scenes and episodes from the show. The cast, who collectively agreed the episode where everyone finds out about Monica and Chandler’s relationship to be the funniest.
Kudrow aka Phoebe said, “I did love the one where everybody finds out… Because I had very fun things to do.”
LeBlanc hoped that the fans would get the sense of “what it was like for us to have made the show”.
