Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received compliments by India Inc on Monday regarding his government’s efforts for the improvements in the business situations. India’s gain in rank in ease of doing business has reached 77th position due to the continuous efforts made by the prime minister, noted by the industry.

The meeting was held regarding the ease of doing business ranking with the Indian industry. Prime Minister Modi said in his opening remarks that the ambitious target has been set which will make India breaking into top 50 nations on the World Bank’s ease of doing business. The hard work which we are putting is just to double the size of the country’s economy to USD 5 trillion, he added.

In the meeting, all the big industrialist were present including Anand Mahindra who is the chairman of Mahindra Group, Vedanta Resources Executive Chairman Anil Agarwal, CII President Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Kotak Mahindra Bank CEO Uday Kotak, Paytm Founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma and Assocham President B K Goenka.

Vedanta Resource Executive Chairman Anil Agarwal said in a tweet, that because of the continues reforms by Prime Minister Modi, India is able to achieve the good position in the ‘ease of doing business’ index. There is a requirement of putting some more efforts to encourage the natural resources sector, domestic exploration & production which will help India to break the record. Besides this, it will also help the country to gain a position in the top 30 and will boost the investment, growth, and prosperity.

Assocham Secretary General Uday Kumar Verma said that amidst all the discussions in the meeting, one key discussion was that the rankings will be held on both the levels states as well as at the district levels.

President of CII Mr. Rakesh Mittal said that due to the Guidance and the support of the Prime Minister in the last four years, where he was closely monitoring each and every activity and efforts have resulted into the great success. He added that almost each one of us was quite confident that all the efforts will definitely put the positive impact in boosting the rank of India in the World Bank ranking of ease of doing business.
