RIL chairperson Mukesh Ambani dedicated the Reliance Jio 4G services to the nation and also called it a step in fulfilling the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of making India Digital. The 4g VoLTE service has become very popular even in its beta phase and millions have bought the Reliance Jio SIM for the free data it will offer for three months. Outlining the goal of the company, Mr. Ambani said that he is seeking to acquire 100 million customers at the earliest.
Slowly but steadily, Reliance Jio has been progressing with its venture, starting a trial run when it was available for its employees and buyers of Lyf smartphone. By September 5, all will be able to access the services of Jio which will be free till the end of the year. The data rates being offered is also the cheapest in the world and will cost Rs.50 per GB. All the apps will be free till the end of 2017.

NETWORK
Most service providers have started with infrastructure for voice and not data. They had to make then provisions for data which was not natural. The ecosystem of Jio has been primed for the Internet, and the IP design makes it one of the most advanced and adaptable to future advances in technology.

The company plans to cover 90% of India’s population by March 2017. It is also the only 4G network in the world. It is also the largest VoLTE network in the world.
DEVICES
The majority of smartphones in India are 4G LTE compatible. The Lyf devices have a price tag starting from Rs.2999, and it goes up to Rs.5999.
Similarly, a JioFi router costs just Rs. 1,999. Thus the base price of the devices which will use the Jio network is very low and most suited for Indian pockets.
CONTENT
Jio TV offers whopping 300 plus channels and also has a library of 6000 movies, 1, 00,000 episodes of TV shows and 10 million songs. Jio Money will make cashless transactions a reality. Apps will be free for all users until December 2017.
SERVICES
The sign-up process is lightning fast and hassle free. All you need to fill the E-KYC form is the Aadhar Card, and it will take less than 15 minutes. The sign up has already started in Delhi and Mumbai. It will be available all over India in six weeks.
TARIFFS
Jio is starting a new convention. Customer will have to pay only for one service, Voice or Data. So Voice calls will be completely free. There will be no roaming charges across India. Data charges are minuscule at five paise per MB or Rs. 50 per GB. The plans are also very simple and so just ten tariff plans. Students will get 25% more data on the primary plans.
