As per Forbes, Indian starlet Deepika Padukone is one among the top ten highly paid actresses in the world. By achieving this, she has joined a list of elite celebrities in Hollywood.

An elegant spot along with Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence is considered as the world’s most paid actress and her gross earnings are 46 million dollars. Deepika who is in the tenth spot has gross revenue of 10 million USD. Last year, Jennifer’s earning was 52 million dollars, while this year, her revenue depreciated a bit, but still, she managed to maintain the top rank.

The second name in this list is Melissa McCarthy who managed to make 33 million last year. Many trade experts previously believed that Priyanka Chopra who was the lead star in ABC’s “Quantico” would also make its way to the list. But, unfortunately, she failed to make her presence felt.

Promising future releases ahead

Deepika is currently awaiting the release of her new Hollywood movie “xXx: Return of Xander Cage”. The film has Hollywood action icon Vin Diesel in the lead role and it is expected to be a high-voltage action thriller.

The movie which is the most anticipated sequel in the “xXx” series is expected to enhance the star value of Deepika among international audiences.

From then, she acted in umpteen numbers of Indian movies and many of them grossed more than 150 Crores INR from the box-office. Her recent release “Bajirao Mastani” opposite Ranveer Singh was also a blockbuster.

Deepika believes that gender has nothing to do in Hollywood films as they pay competitive remuneration for both male and female stars.
