The saffron dressed Mr Yogi showed his concern over the migration of youth to other states in search of jobs. The UP Chief Minister assured that his govt. is working to create jobs for youth.

Mr Yogi said “Uttar Pradesh has been very fortunate that almost every region, every district here has some of the other product which is traditionally its expertise. And that is why we launched the ‘One District, One Product’ programme”.

He further asked “Why should the youth of UP go out to places like Surat, Ludhiana or Mumbai to find work? Why can’t they get work within the state, say in Gautam Buddha Nagar or Ghaziabad, Meerut, Moradabad, Aligarh, Khurja or Kannauj?

The Chief Minister informed that under  ‘One District, One Product’, youth would be able to find work near their homes, which would change their lives.

He shared that his govt had provided jobs to over 2.5 lakh youth in the last 12 months and would raise the number in a coming year.

He promised that he would provide the jobs to two lakh youths locally in their area under  ‘One District, One Product’.

Noida lawmaker Pankaj Singh, Jewar lawmaker Dhirendra Singh and Dadri lawmaker Tejpal Singh Nagar were present at the commencement function of the university.

Mr Yogi continued his address and said that in villages people were not getting a proper platform to use their skills. Traditional barber, an ironsmith, tailor and carpenter etc were not acknowledged for better opportunities. He had asked Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) department to uplift such people and provide necessary training along with work kit and government certificate. The certificate provided to them would not let them get exploited by anti-social element or strongman.
